E.D.Motorsport originated in 1991 preparing a variety of Vauxhall & Opel cars for competing in sprints & hill climbs. These included, 2.3 litre Chevette's, Astra 16v powered Manta's & Ascona's, and a selection of Gte & Gsi Astra's & Nova's.

 

On only a very small budget, the 1997 season ended with the EDM team winning a sprint & hill climb championship with an EDM built 16vXE Opel Manta. Proving that despite the size of the budget, a meticulously prepared and well maintained car can always be competitive. After all 'you've got to be in it to win it'

EDM turned to rally preparation in 1998. In 2003/4 we built & ran a highly competitive Astra Gsi in the National Ashpalt Rally Championship, competeing on demanding events such as the Manx National, Jim Clarke & Mewla rallies, finishing 2nd in the ever popular B11 class.

 

In 1999 we joined the WRC, Irish & UK National Championships building and running customer Grp N & Group A Subaru Impreza's.

 

Our introduction to circuit racing came in 2006, running a Subaru Impreza in the Castle Combe Saloon car Championship.

 

More recently we have been busy with  club racing, involved in various series with cars such as Golf Gti's, Toyota MR2's including MK3 Raodsters & Impreza's.
